“Looking after my health today gives me a better hope for tomorrow.”

One of the things I started to do is keep track of the food I eat. I have selected an app called Lose it!, to keep my daily record. Using Lose it! has helped me to track my meals, calories, water, exercises, and more in the past few weeks.
The app is free with an option to upgrade to a premium level to track the nutrition value of your meals and to count carbs. I like that the app allows me to connect with friends and create challenges to motivate each other. I also love the charts and the insights I get from the data produced by my entries. Great motivator for an analytical person like me! https://www.loseit.com/premium/
According to a study conducted by Kaiser Permanente, “‘[t]hose who kept daily food records lost twice as much weight as those who kept no records. It seems that the simple act of writing down what you eat encourages people to consume fewer calories’” (2008). That is a great benefit from a simple action.
